Data Story

In this project, I was tasked with emulating the style of a major news publication, effectively using data and creating interactive charts, graphs, and tables to tell a compelling story. This involved data analysis, JSON, design, and the integration of interactive visual elements to engage readers and convey complex information.

Technology

I designed an informational website aimed at encouraging the adoption of autonomous vehicles, using interactive features to engage users and effectively communicate their benefits.

Interactive Storytelling

This project is an interactive website designed to immerse users in a story through engaging actions like clicking, hovering, and multimedia elements such as sound and video.

CSS Project

This project highlights my ability to effectively use CSS. Utilizing Flexbox and Bootstrap, I arranged and styled pre-made assets to ensure they scale appropriately across devices. The design emphasizes smooth responsiveness and user engagement.

Figma Prototype

I collaborated with a design team to create a Figma prototype that highlights the dangers of coral degradation in Florida. This project showcased my skills in prototyping, allowing us to effectively communicate the environmental challenges facing coral reefs.

About Me

I am currently pursuing dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Media & Journalism, along with a minor in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

I have a strong academic foundation across a range of classes, including interactive media, media law, and various policy and politics subjects. This diverse coursework allows me to approach projects with a well-rounded perspective, focusing on both design and impact.

Current Positions

I’m currently working as a Public Health Communication-Digital Media Developer for the UNC Injury Prevention Research Center. I am working with a team on developing  a new website for them, and I will ensure it stays updated and functional throughout the year.
